Prostate Cancer Canada CEO Rocco Rossi visited OTA this week to present the association chairman and staff with the coveted ‘plaid jacket’ – a recognition for finishing as the top organization in Canada to raise money to fight prostate cancer.
In an amazing display of generosity, OTA member companies pledged a combined $31,440 (about 6% of the national total) – making OTA 2016 ‘National Champions’. Law firms McCarthy Tetrault and last year’s champions, Borden Ladner Gervais, rounded out the top three workplaces.
Rossi handed the framed jacket to OTA president Stephen Laskowski, OTA Communication VP Marco Beghetto and OTA chairman and Tandet President Scott Tilley, who was one of several key OTA member companies to lead OTA’s funding drive.
The frame will hang on the wall at OTA’s office in Etobicoke for a year – at which point OTA will re-launch a campaign to defend its title.
OTA would like to thank Prostate Cancer Canada and Rocco Rossi for their partnership on this campaign – and especially the OTA member carriers, Allied Trades and the handful of non-member, individual trucking industry workers that were kind enough to donate through OTA.
